Rodeo queens represent Clay County in Veterans’ Day Parade

Kat Hand of Deer Creek and Josey Cleveland of Joy represented Clay County in the Wichita Falls Veterans’ Day parade, held Saturday, Nov. 3.

Kat is the 2012 Clay County Pioneer Reunion Rodeo Junior Queen, and Josey is the 2012 Rodeo Queen. They will be the faces of the Clay County Pioneer Association until new queens are crowned during the Friday night performance of the 82nd annual Pioneer Reunion Rodeo, Sept. 20, 2013.

Each year, the Veterans’ Day Parade is held in downtown Wichita Falls to honor area men and women who served in the military.

Kat is the 10-year-old daughter of Rex and Regina Hand, and a fifth-grade homeschool student. Cleveland is a sophomore at Henrietta High School and the daughter of Scott and Sherry Cleveland.
