On Halloween, we had a carnival for the residents that included a cupcake walk and a ring toss game. The residents enjoyed playing these Halloween carnival games and eating their delicious Halloween treats. We love all of our celebrations at Henrietta Care Center. Following the carnival, kids were invited to come by and trick or treat. The participating residents had a balloon on their door, and the children went to their doors and knocked to receive their Halloween candy. We had over 15 rooms that had participating residents and over 60 trick-or-treaters showed up at HCC! The kids were all dressed so cute, and they were definitely enjoyed by all. They all left with a lot of candy, too. Thank you to everyone who donated candy to our residents. This event would not have been possible without your generous donations. Another thank you goes to the parents and children who stopped by HCC. We are fortunate to be part of such a participative and supportive community.

Veteran’s Day is Sunday. We are putting together goodie bags to give to the veteran’s in both our facility and our community. We would like to express our gratitude to all of the veterans in our community and county. We are extremely blessed to have each of you in our lives. Your bravery is never forgotten and always appreciated. Thank you for all that you have done for our country. God bless you all! We are very fortunate to have a veteran working with us at HCC, Lindle Hodges. We appreciate your service.

We are continuing to work on our Operation Christmas Child project. HCC residents, family members, and staff started wrapping and filling the boxes last week. We will finish wrapping and stuffing the boxes this week, and everyone is welcome to join us to complete our boxes. Feel free to stop by at any time, and we will be glad to let you join us in our Operation Christmas Child project. We will have the final total of boxes completed next week. Thank you for your help.

We have many events scheduled for the month of November including our Thanksgiving potluck meal on the 16th at noon. Remember that our activity calendar is posted on our Facebook page for your convenience. Just search for Henrietta Care Center and scroll down to find the November calendar. We would love for you to stop by and join us for any of our various activities!

Just a reminder, our Quick Recovery NStep therapy program is now in full-effect. Nicely decorated private rooms are available at HCC when you need them so you can stay in your community surrounded by friends and family throughout the duration of your therapy and recovery.

Thank you for all your support. Have a wonderful week!
