Petrolia advances to area with three-set win over Perrin Whitt

Petrolia advances in the Region I Class A state volleyball playoffs after defeating Perrin Whitt for a bi-district title Tuesday night in Jacksboro.

Petrolia’s Lady Pirates swept their opponent in three sets, 25-14, 25-20, 25-8.

Allie Ablia led the Petrolia attack with eight kills, followed by Brittney Ablia with six kills and Katie Cummings with four kills.

Madison Oliver and Kirsten Kenyon were 100 percent from the service line. Oliver had 22 serves and Kenyon had 11. Danica Bustos was 90.9 percent, dishing up 11 serves.

Petrolia will face Munday in the area round. Game time is 5 p.m. Saturday in Vernon.
