Fire fighters battle vehicle fire Sunday afternoon


Jordan Keasler of the Lake Arrowhead VFD sprays smoldering items in the bed of a pickup that caught fire Sunday afternoon on FM 2606.

Henrietta and Lake Arrowhead volunteer fire fighters extinguished a vehicle fire on FM 2606, approximately one-half mile from FM 2847, Sunday afternoon.

A 2001 Chevrolet half-ton pickup, owned by Colt Reese, 19, of Henrietta, is said to have overheated while traveling east from Lake Arrowhead. The pickup caught fire in the eastbound median. The fire was reported at 1:58 p.m.
