Lady Cats fall to second place Nocona on Friday

Henrietta’s Lady Cats fell to Nocona in four sets Friday afternoon, 18-25, 19-25, 25-21, 14-25. With Nocona in second place in District 8-2A, the defeat did not affect Henrietta third-place playoff berth.

Anni Scholl had another big day on the front row, racking up 16 kills. Taylor Bennett finished with seven kills and two aces, while Sierra Burkhart had six kills, Addison Wade totaled five kills and Joyana Zamzow scored three kills. Cassie Picket led her team on the service line, scoring five aces. Setter Katie Halsell finished with 21 assists and Kailey Kirk had 11 set assists.

Annelise Sauer, playing libero, led the defense with 18 digs, followed by Pickett with eight, Scholl with six and Bennett with six.
