The Bearcats moved to 6-1 with a 40-32 victory in a shootout with Jacksboro. Henrietta finished with more than 500 yards total offense in the Thursday, Oct. 18 matchup.
The Bearcats answered an early Tiger touchdown with a 5-yard Cody Fletcher run. After another Jacksboro touchdown, the team answered with a 38-yard pass from Riley Watson to Bryce Schroeder. The Bearcats then took the lead with a conversion pass from Watson to Jaylon Curtis. Jacksboro scored once more before half leaving the Bearcats with an 18-14 halftime deficit.
The next touchdown came on a 48-yard pass from Fletcher to Schroeder. That score gave the Bearcats the lead for good. The next touchdown came on a 5-yard Watson run. On the ensuing Tiger possession, Fletcher picked off a pass and took it 38 yards for the score. Logan Carter scored the two-point conversion.
The final Bearcat touchdown came on a 69-yard touchdown strike from Watson to Schroeder. Schroeder finished with an amazing 226 yards receiving on six catches for three touchdowns.
The offensive line of Carter, Chance Edgett, Kirkland Hoff, Zach Bloodworth and Conner Duncan did an outstanding job. They allowed the Bearcats to amass more than 300 yards passing and more than 200 yards rushing.
Defensively, Jeremiah Johnson, Leo Hunter, Fletcher, and Carter had good games.
