Anni Scholl gets a dig in Henrietta’s win over Jacksboro Saturday. Scholl scored 11 kills and had 21 digs against Holliday Tuesday as the Lady Cats became the first 8-2A team to take a set from the state ranked Lady Eagles.

Henrietta’s Lady Cats did Tuesday what no other team in District 8-2A has managed to do this season — take a set from projected district champion Holliday.

“We played with so much intensity,” said Lady Cat Head Coach Rochelle Kabisch. “It was awesome.”

Henrietta took the court by surprise, defeating Holliday 25-22 in the first set, and almost forced a game five by pushing the Lady Eagles into extra points, 25-27. Holliday came away with sets two and three, 14-25, 19-25.

Holliday is ranked seventh in state.

Anni Scholl led the Lady Cats with 11 kills, two aces and 21 digs. Annelise Sauer, playing in the Libero position, also had 21 digs. Addison Wade scored 11 kills, followed by Taylor Bennett with eight kills and three aces. Joyana Zamzow scored six kills, followed by Sierra Bukhart with three kills.
