Henrietta runners compete in Lucy Park cross country meet

Henrietta’s high school and junior high cross country teams competed in the Lucy Park Invitational Thursday, Oct. 11.

Competing in the varsity boys race, Donovan Cook finished with Henrietta’s best time of the day, completing the three-mile course in 21 minutes, 44.62 seconds. Chris Davis finished 87th with 28:16.61, while Levi Hedrick took 92nd with 30:00.10.

In the varisty girls two-mile race, Mahalah Womack led the Lady Cats, finishing in 64th with 15:02.06. Womack was followed by Casey Gill, 65th, 15:08.47; Sarah Matthews, 79th, 15:30.83; Justine Loyd, 82nd, 15:46.53; and Brooke Hoff in 96th place with 16:42.56.

Junior varsity Lady Cat Courtney Pruett finished in 19:10.28; Michaela Hedrick, 19:34.82; Bree Polan, 19:35.30; Macey Baber, 19:36.32; and Sara Mayes finished in 21:38.79.

Competing in the junior high boys two-mile race, Triston Rogers placed 38th in a field of 68 runners with a time of 15:52.13 and Marshall Roberts took 60th with 19:33.48.

Kelton Matthews led the junior high Lady Cats in 39th place among 114 runners with a time of 15:16.10; followed by Madeline Koetter, 53rd, 16:18.27; TeeLee Cook, 54th, 16:30.30; Marissa Rodriguez, 16:35.46; Jaden Kane 73rd, 17:56.54; and Kelsey Voils in 94th with 19:24.08.

The HJH girls’ team took 9th place.
