The open house for our NStep Rehabilitation program is on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 4-6 p.m. You are invited to come by Henrietta Care Center at 807 West Bois D’Arc Street to take a look at our beautifully decorated and furnished NStep Rehab rooms. We will pass out brochures and answer any questions you might have.

Wine, cheese, and refreshments will also be provided. This program offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy during your short stay at Henrietta Care Center. We strive to meet the needs of our neighbors, friends, and community. This program will give you the option to enjoy a small town atmosphere during therapy should the need ever arise. We are certain that you will be more comfortable during your quick recovery period if you are surrounded by family and friends. We hope you find the time to stop by and take a look at how nicely our NStep rooms have turned out. We look forward to seeing you then!

Our annual chili cook-off is Friday the 12th at noon. The community is invited to attend this cook-off even if you do not enter the contest. If you do wish to enter the contest, we ask that you have your chili to Henrietta Care Center by 11 a.m. Friday. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.  We hope to see you then.

Friday the 12th is also Teddy Bear Day. We will celebrate by displaying all of our stuffed teddy bears. If you have one we could use for the display, please bring it to Vickie at Henrietta Care Center. You can also bring it with you to the chili cook-off and get two activities covered at one time. This is always a fun event, and we are looking forward to seeing the various teddy bears.

Friday, Sept. 28 was National Good Neighbor Day, and we made cookies for our neighbors. Thank you to the entire county for making HCC a great place to live. Without the involvement and support of the whole community of Henrietta and all of Clay County, we would just be another nursing home—we are truly thankful for our community.

There is still time to donate items for Operation Christmas Child! If you have any hygiene items or school supplies or any toys that would be appropriate for the shoeboxes, please bring them by. We appreciate any help we can get. We have a box set up inside the front door where you can drop off your items. Thank you in advance for your help.

Just a reminder that HCC has a Facebook page that will keep you updated on our upcoming events. Be sure to go “like” us. All you have to do is search Henrietta Care Center, and you will see our page.

We truly appreciate all your help and support. We are lucky to be part of such a great community and great county. Have a great week!
