Despite being shorthanded, Henrietta’s varsity Lady Cats finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Holliday Cross Country Meet, held Thursday at Kiwanis Park in Wichita Falls.
Kristina Aylor led the team with a 17th place finish, running the course in 15 minutes, 31.20 seconds. Mahalah Womack followed in 18th with a time of 15:31.50. Sarah Matthews was 20th with 15:45.90; Brooke Hoff, 24th, 16:13.50; Casey Gill, 26th, 16:54.90; Krystal Cook, 27th, 17:10.50; Justine Loyd, 29th, 17:17.30; Bree Polan, 38th, 18:51.90; Michaela Hedrick, 44th, 20:12.00; and Courtney Pruett was 45th with 20:24.00.
Varsity boys Donovan Cook and Chris Davis also competed. Cook finished 13th with a time of 20:56.80, followed by Davis in 46th with 26:32.30.
The junior high Lady Cats finished sixth as a team with Madeline Koetter setting the pace for Henrietta.
Koetter finished 16th with a time of 16:41.00; Kelton Matthews, 22nd, 17:19.00; Marissa Rodriguez, 31st, 18:06.80; TeeLee Cook, 36th, 19:04.10; Kelsey Voils finished 42nd with 20:09.20.
Hunter Smith, Triston Rogers and Marshall Roberts competed for the junior high boys. Smith finished 31st with a time of 15:16.10, Rogers placed 36th with 15:52.20, and Roberts placed 70th with 19:09.00.
