Students, faculty and staff gathered Wednesday morning at schools across Clay County for the annual See You at the Pole prayer meeting.
At Henrietta, the event began at 7:30 a.m., 13 students, four staff and faculty and First Baptist Church Youth Pastor Jimmy Moses gathered around the Elementary School flagpole. By the time the event came to a close, more than 40 students and staff had gathered.
The event is non-denominational.
The student-led event is held each year on the fourth Wednesday in September. According to SYATP.com, See You at the Pole began in 1990 as a grass-roots prayer rally and has since grown to global proportions with an estimated 20 million students participating each year.
