Mildred V. Landrum of Hempstead


Mildred Viola Landrum, 90, of Hempstead, formerly of Henrietta, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fellowship at Field Store, Houston, with Pastor John Chivvis officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hope Cemetery, Henrietta. Services are under the direction of Canon Funeral Home of Waller.

Mrs. Landrum worked many years at McLain’s Grocery in Grandfield, Okla., and was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Taylor Landrum; a granddaughter, Sandra Collier; brothers, J.T. Noel, Tom Royce “Rusty” Noel; and a sister, June Alice Jared.

Survivors include four daughters, Earlene Antwine of Houston, Lee Franklin of Bellevue, Jenelle Ochsner of Hempstead, and Janice Smith of Kennedale; one sister, Jean Lynch of Frederick, Okla.; two brothers, Calvin Noel of California, and Ray Noel of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Canon Funeral Home.
