NStep physical rehab rooms ready

By Ashley Crownover

Our NStep rooms are ready!

NStep is a therapy program where patients can come to Henrietta Care Center and stay with us while they receive short-term therapy to help with a speedy recovery. Patients can stay from a couple of days for up to three months. This is a wonderful program because you can stay close to home, family and friends while you receive your necessary therapy for recovery. Your pet can even come with you! The NStep rooms are fully private, and they have fresh paint and new wood floors. The rooms are also equipped with a TV.

There will be an open house on Oct. 11 from 4-6 p.m. We would be honored to have you stop by and take a look at our new rooms. We are very excited about our NStep program and proud of how beautiful our rooms turned out, and we are anxious for the community to see our progress. Remember the date and time is Thursday, Oct, 11 from 4-6 p.m. We hope to see you then! Also, if you cannot make it to the open house, you are still welcome to come by and see the rooms at another time. We will be happy to give you a tour at your convenience.

September has flown by. We can hardly believe that it is already time to make our calendar for October. We had a very eventful month of September and cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us.

Monday afternoon, we had popcorn and hot dogs and watched a movie. The residents really enjoy getting to watch movies and have movie theater food. It was a real treat!

Our County Store is a fun activity that we have at 3 p.m. every other Wednesday. This store is the highlight of many residents’ week. They get to use Bingo money that they win to buy items such as snacks, lotions and jewelry. We are always accepting donations for our country store. If you have any knick-knacks or hygiene items or snacks that you think the residents would enjoy and you want to share them, feel free to come by and give them to Vickie. The residents love having new and different items to buy at their store.

Our monthly birthday party is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. VFW Ladies Auxiliary Troop 5401 will be here to host the party. They are wonderful hostesses, and we are very thankful that they dedicate their time to us. We will celebrate the birthdays of Pauline Barker, Dickaleene Snyder, Douglas Massie, Beryl Lee, Jewell Bolton, and Lillian Dana.

Our potluck meal in October will be a chili cook-off since October is National Chili Month. If you think you can make the best chili then be sure to stop by and enter our contest. We always have a blast trying the variety of chili that is served at our family meal.

We will have our October calendar posted on Facebook by the beginning of next week.

Have a terrific week, and thank you for reading our article.
