J.R. “Tweezer” Weatherall of Petrolia


J.R. “Tweezer” Weatherall, 91, formerly of Petrolia, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Antelope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Weatherall was born on June 4, 1921 in Clarendon to Oscar Lee and Mamie (Bell) Weatherall. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired farmer and oil field worker. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Mr. Weatherall is preceded in death by two wives, Lucille (Thomas) Weatherall and Alma Elva (Maxey) Weatherall; and one brother, Bob Weatherall.

Survivors include a son, Paul Weatherall and wife Billie of Lubbock; a daughter, Robin Lou Ann Stewart of Happy; three sisters, Mary Lee Maxey and husband Jake of Wichita Falls, Sunny Roberson of Wichita Falls, and Billie Willis and husband Marvin of Electra; and two grandsons.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Davis Funeral Home.
