JV Bearcats earn 28-20 win over Paradise

Henrietta’s JV Bearcats evened their record at 1-1 Thursday with a 28-20 win over Paradise.

The Bearcats struck first when Zack Bloodworth and Jimmy Jones combined to sack the Paradise quarterback in the end zone for a safety.

The first touchdown of the game came on a 24-yard pass from Riley Watson to Nick Offield.  Cody Fletcher scored from 12 yards out following a 60-yard kickoff return by Leo Hunter.  Fletcher scored again in the fourth quarter on a 19-yard pass from Watson.  Watson ran in the two-point conversion.  Fletcher capped the Bearcat scoring with a 27-yard run for a touchdown.

Jaylon Curtis and Bloodworth stood out with solid blocking for the offense.  Bryce Schroeder had his second consecutive two-interception game for the defense.  Watson also intercepted a Panther pass.
