Donna Davidson, 62, of Byers, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, at First Baptist Church of Henrietta with Rev. Kenneth Johannan, pastor of First Baptist Church of Byers, officiating, and Mr. Mike Priddy assisting. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Byers, under direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Davidson was born June 1, 1950, in Bowie to Jess and June Foreman. She married Joe Davidson June 14, 1968 in Bellevue. The two moved to Byers in April l972, after Joe began working at First National Bank of Byers. They raised their sons, Brad and the late Coby Davidson, there. Donna became a First National Bank of Byers teller in 1995, and worked her way up to assistant vice president of teller operations and accounts payable. Her gentle spirit, easy laugh, helpfulness and thoughtfulness endeared her to customers and friends alike.

Although a loyal employee, Donna’s first priority and greatest joy remained her family and her faith. Her grandsons Coby and Colt were the delight of her life. She was a dedicated, active member of First Baptist Church of Byers, and for many, many years enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday school there. She eagerly helped in various community, school or county activities as well.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jess Foreman; and a son, Coby Davidson.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Davidson of Byers; son Brad and wife Vanessa of Byers; mother June Allison of Bowie; two brothers, Gary Foreman and wife Kathy of Bowie, and Pat Foreman and wife Phyllis of Jacksboro; and two grandchildren.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 6:30-8 p.m.
