Bellevue, Henrietta, Ringgold respond to fast moving fire near county line

Volunteer fire fighters from Henrietta, Bellevue and Ringgold responded to a fast-moving grass fire on Hwy. 82 near the Montague County line Monday, Sept. 3.

A Montague County deputy reported the fire shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 82 and FM 2332. The fire burned an estimated 20 acres and a set of cattle pens. The fire threatened to jump across FM 2332 to the west, but was stopped and quickly contained.

Fire fighters remained on scene until 8:49 p.m.
