JV Bearcats fall to Callisburg despite strong passing game

Henrietta’s junior varsity football team fell to Callisburg 24-12 in its first game of the season Thursday.

Cody Fletcher scored from six yards out for Henrietta’s first touchdown following a 50-yard Riley Watson run.  Watson carried in the second score from 2 yards out after a 66-yard reception by Fletcher.

The Bearcats played a strong passing game. Receiver Nick Offield hauled in four passes for 64 yards, while Bryce Schroeder had three receptions. On defense, Schroeder intercepted two Callisburg passes.

Logan Carter and Chance Edgett played well on the offensive line.  Jaylon Curtis and Carter were standouts on defense.
