Thelma McGowen Campbell of Henrietta


Thelma Pearl McGowen Campbell, 92, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, Aug.27, 2012, in Henrietta.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Campbell was born Nov. 28, 1920 in Maxwell, Okla., to James E. and Della White. She was a seamstress and a member of the Pleasant Mound Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo Springs.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lee McGowen; husband George Campbell; daughter Deanna Bernhardt; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a son Eddie McGowen of Buffalo Springs; sister, Polly Lee of Waco; 2 sisters-in-law Lillian White of Wichita Falls, and Ethel White of Bowie; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
