Mary Louise Jordan of Henrietta


Mary Louise (Compton) Jordan, 80, of Henrietta, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 in Henrietta.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Jordan was born on Sept. 15, 1931 in Westover to James Everett and Hester (Tubbs) Compton. She married Earl Sidney Mahler in 1948 and lived in Graham and raised three children. She married Dan Jordan on Oct. 21, 1975 in Wichita Falls. During her life she, was co-owner of an oil company where she drove trucks and was the bookkeeper. She previously owned her own restaurant and managed a housing development. She traveled extensively through the United States, Canada and Mexico.

She is preceded in death by husband Earl Sidney Mahler; husband Dan “Shorty” Jordan on Aug. 24, 2010; brothers J.T. Compton, Jody Compton and Edward McNair.

Survivors include three children, Glenda Earlene Morris and husband Bob of Arizona, Bo Alvin Dale Mahler of Graham, and Teresa Louise Biship and husband Robert of Tulsa, Okla.; three step-children, Zelda Richards and husband Lonnie of Celina, Wanda Bradley, Ava Jean Galliton and husband David of Henrietta; two brothers, Johnny Daniel Compton and wife Carroll of Wichita Falls, and Bobby Lee Compton of Tulia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
