Residents celebrate 61st anniversary

By Ashley Crownover

Mr. and Mrs. Pollard will be celebrating their 68th anniversary on Aug. 31! If you get a chance, be sure to stop by and wish them a happy anniversary. They are a beautiful couple, and we are very fortunate to have them in our lives.

Our continuous thoughts and prayers are with Jane McRoy. We miss you and hope you get well very soon.

Our monthly birthday party is Friday the 27th at 3 p.m. VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 5401 is hosting the party. Henrietta Floral donates corsages each month for our party. This month we will be celebrating the birthdays of Emma Lyde, Imogene Ruth Hickman, and Harold Hager. Family and friends are more than welcome to join us for the party and help us celebrate.

Cowboy Church WINGS group calls Bingo two times a week. Thank you so much for your devotion and your friendly, upbeat attitudes. We appreciate you and your services.

Sarah Sears and Linda Strickland come out and volunteer for nails and table talk on Wednesdays and lead a devotional on Friday. The residents really enjoy their time with these ladies.

Many thanks to the Cowboy Church for conducting Sunday services and for providing the music group that comes out and entertains our residents. We appreciate you so much. Thank you greatly for your devotion to our residents.

Thank you to Joyce Shepherd for donating two sets of dominoes. The residents will definitely get good use out of them. We are very grateful for your thoughtful donation.

Our NStep program is still progressing in a timely manner, and we hope to get our first patient very soon. We will also have brochures within the month to hand out around town to give an overview of the program. Stay tuned for more updates.

August will be here before we know it. Enjoy the remainder of your month of July.
