Fitts wins Remington 1911; tickets available for chapter banquet

Justin Fitts was the winner of the Remington 1911 given away by the Clay County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation recently.

Tickets are now available for the annual Hunting Heritage Banquet, set for Aug. 25 at the Holman Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The banquet will feature numerous raffle drawings, games and a live and silent auction. Some of the firearms to be given away during the banquet

will be a 2012 Benelli SPR Nova Pump 12-gauge 24-inch barrel Steady Grip in camouflage; a 2012 H&R Pardner Pump 12-gauge with a 28-inch barrel with a wood stock; a 2012 Marlin 60 DLX S-Auto with a walnut stock, 22-caliber 60th anniversary edition; a 2012 Remington 1911R pistol; a 2012 Remington 770 Competition 243-caliber in camouflage; and a 2012 Rossi R92 Ranch Hand Lever Pistol 45 Long Colt with a 12-inch barrel and wood stock.
