The 97th District Court accepted plea agreements for burglary of a habitation, DWI third conviction, deadly discharge of a firearm Monday, July 16.
Also on Monday, a Clay County grand jury handed down two indictments on drug charges. Both indictments were sealed.
Plea agreements are as follows:
James Michael Brand – Burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, for a May 17 incident. Brand was sentenced to five years community supervision and must pay a fine of $1,500. He was credited with 17 days served.
Juan Gilbert Martinez – Driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, a third-degree felony, for a March 19, 2011 offense. Martinez was sentenced to five years probation and a fine of $1,500. He must pay restitution in an amount of $60. He was credited with two days served.
Nolan Sylvir Kerry – Deadly discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony, for a Jan. 30 incident. Kerry received three years community supervision and a fine of $500. He was credited with two days served.
Earl Carroll Holmes, Jr. – Judgment adjudicating guilt. Holmes was sentenced to two years community supervision and a $500 fine for theft over $1,500, but less than $20,000 on Dec. 18, 2006. On July 21, 2008, his sentence was modified, adding an additional four years probation. With Monday’s agreement, Holmes received an additional year of community supervision and must pay accrued probation fees of $1,450. He was credited with 95 days served.
