Ardell Watson of Petrolia


Ardell Watson, 63, of Petrolia, passed away Friday, July 6, in Wichita Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 10 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Ardell was born Dec. 1, 1948 in Wichita Falls to Arvil Ardell and Malinda Jane (Ashley) Watson. He married Geneva Kingcade on March 1, 1975 in Iowa Park. He served in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army. He was a retired Truck salesman for Ralph Morgan Dodge and Longhorn Chevrolet. He was also the owner and operator of Ardell’s Burger Shop in Petrolia for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife Geneva Watson of Petrolia; two sons, Robert Watson and wife Brandie of Petrolia, and Ricky Watson and wife Stacie of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Jeanna Watson Smoot and husband Gary of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Steven Watson and wife Christine of the United Kingdom, and Cecil Watson of Wichita Falls; a sister, Lisa Fuller and husband Truman of Henrietta; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family at their residence.
