Judy M. Young of Dean


Judy M. Young, 68, of Dean, died Friday, June 29, 2012, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Byers with Rev. Ken Johanan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Byers, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Young was born on June 15, 1944 in Burkburnett to Stanley and Mona (Cheney) Gum. She worked as a medical secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Byers.

Survivors include her husband, William “Billy” Young of Dean; two daughters, Kari Dennis of Wichita Falls, and Penny Swain of Wichita Falls; one step-daughter, Patty Tipton of Rangeley, Colo.; one step-son, James Young of Little Elm; three brothers, James Gum of Houston, Ralph Gum of Arlington, and Ricky Gum of El Paso; one sister, Becky Burris of Wichita Falls; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 6-7 p.m. Sunday.
