
Henrietta VFD first responders Billy Carlton and Kinneth Sluder put a neck brace on the driver of a vehicle involved in a three-car pileup on Hwy. 287 Wednesday morning.
A one vehicle accident reported at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning caused a three-car pileup on Hwy. 287, approximately three miles northwest of Henrietta.
Kyle Nelson, 23, of Indiana, was traveling north on a Suzuki near the Little Wichita River bridge when a bedroll strapped behind the seat of the bike became entangled in the rear wheal, causing the rider to lose control. The one vehicle accident was first reported as a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer.
The accident backed up traffic in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 287, causing a second accident involving three vehicles.
A late model Chevrolet pickup struck a late model Chevrolet Cobalt, pushing the car into the rear of a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the car was transported to Clay County Memorial Hospital with possible neck injuries. Nelson also was transported to CCMH with non-lifethreatening injuries.
Meanwhile, another accident with possible injuries was reported on Hwy. 79 in Dean.
