Taco celebration a hit

By Ashley Crownover

This past week, we had a taco celebration on June 12. The residents and staff at Henrietta Care Center enjoyed the delicious tacos. The party was a big hit.

We would like to thank Alice McEntee for the donuts, group activities, and one-on-one visits with our residents. Another thank you goes out to Sarah and Jane for your devotion to Henrietta Care Center. The residents really do appreciate your Bible study group and the prizes you provide. The Cowboy Church WINGS come out two times a week for Bingo.  They also brought the men Father’s Day gifts. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. God Bless you all.

Jolly First Baptist, Joy First Baptist, Petrolia First Baptist, and Byers First United Methodist are the four churches hosting our June church services. Thank you so much for coming out and worshipping with our residents. Henrietta Church of God comes out weekly for Sunday school. Thank you so much; you are truly a blessing to us.

The VFW Auxiliary ladies are hosting our monthly resident birthday party. The party is scheduled for Friday, June 29, at 3 p.m. Our residents with June birthdays are Margie Hinton, Juanita Maddox, Betty Jo Shaver and Bertha Cates. We would love for you to come out and join us.

We are also still looking for people to assist us with our scrapbook. If you have any spare time and are interested in helping, let Vickie know at (940) 538-4303. This could be a fun activity for high school students who are out of school for the summer or anyone else who likes to scrapbook.

Have a great week!
