Koetter, Sherrill earn Henrietta Care Center awards

Henrietta Care Center honored two employees with the nursing facility’s highest awards during a ceremony recently.

Paula Koetter, LVN, was named Employee of the Year, and Cassie Sherrill, CNA, was named Care Provider of the Year. Debbie Brewer, executive director of Henrietta Care Center, presented the awards.

Koetter is the seventh recipient of the Employee of the Year award.

“Paula has been with Henrietta Care Center for four years, and we are very blessed and thankful to have her as part of our team,” stated a press release from the nursing home.
Koetter graduated from TSTC in Sweetwater in 1993. She is married to Michael Koetter. They have three children, Dellen and Justin, 14, and Madeline, 13.

“When I was young, my mom took me to the Clyde Nursing Home just to visit after church on Sundays. That’s when my love for the elderly began,” said Koetter after being presented with the award. “Though I’ve worked in other fields of nursing, my heart is here caring for our residents. I am honored to have been voted as Employee of the Year by our residents, their families, and my coworkers.”

Sherrill is the sixth recipient of the Care Taker of the Year award.               .
“Cassie was awarded our Employee of the Year award last year. We are very thankful to have her as an employee in our facility,” the press release stated. “She is very dedicated to the residents and takes pride in everything she does. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful employee and coworker.”
Sherrill, who works as a certified nurses’ aide on the day shift, came to Henrietta Care Center in July 2009 as a laundry aide.   She enrolled in the Center’s Nurses’ Aide Training Program and became state certified in February 2010.            .
“I love my job and the people I work with and for.  I have wanted to be in nursing since I was a little girl,” said Sherrill after receiving her award.

She is married to Jason Sherrill. They have three children, Bree, Caleb and Caden.
