Jennifer Klein, George Burrows – To wed Oct. 13

Jim and Cheryl Klein of Henrietta announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Kay Klein to George Harrison Burrows IV. George is the son of Paula Burrows of Belews Creek, N.C., and the late George Burrows III.

The couple will marry on Oct. 13, 2012 at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford. Reverend Valerie Mireb of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Lydia, S.C., will officiate.

Jennifer graduated from Henrietta High School in 1997. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas Christian University, a Master of Education degree from George Mason University, and a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University. She currently lives in Arlington and is an international education policy researcher for the World Bank.

George is a former United States Marine Corps sergeant and was deployed to Iraq in 2004 and 2005. He met Jennifer while on Marine Security Guard duty at the United States Embassy in Conakry, Guinea. He then continued on to embassies in Athens, Greece and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, before moving to Texas in 2009. He currently is in his final year of electrical engineering studies at the University of Texas in Arlington.
