Mike Skinner 51, of Jolly, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 9, at the Henrietta Church of Christ with Mr. Britt Farmer, pastor of the West Freeway Church of Christ in Fort Worth, officiating and Mr. Todd Davis, pastor of the Church of Christ in Henrietta, assisting. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.
Mr. Skinner was born on Dec. 19, 1960, in Wichita Falls to Lenord and Violet Lucy (Bowles) Skinner. He married D. LeAnn Taylor on July 11, 1981 in Henrietta, and they were members of the Henrietta Church of Christ. He grew up on the Bridwell Ranch in North Texas. He was a cowboy and rancher, learning the tools of the trade from his father. He continued in his father’s footsteps and became the owner and manager of the 3 Cent Cattle Ranch in Jolly, Texas. He was a present member of the Nine-Man Board for the Clay County Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lenord Skinner and mother Violet Lucy (Bowles) Skinner and one brother, Jack Skinner.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, D. LeAnn Skinner of Jolly; two daughters, Stephanie and Jessica Skinner of Jolly; a sister, Kathie Jamison and husband Glenn of Wichita falls; a half-brother Lenord Elijah Skinner of Wichita Falls; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Skinner of Wichita Falls.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening, June 8, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
