Grace A. Callaway of Wichita Falls


Grace A. Callaway, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday June 8, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Bob Hampton of Wichita Falls officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery in Wichita Falls under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Callaway was born on July 17, 1928 in Henrietta to Phillip and Elizabeth (Steckler) Arensmann. She married Edd Newton Callaway on Feb. 22, 1946, in Henrietta. Mrs. Callaway was retired from the Civil Service where she worked as a secretary. She was an active and devoted Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, Shelomi Temple No. 43.

Mrs. Callaway is preceded in death by her husband, Edd Callaway in 2010; and one daughter, Cathy Kay Callaway Corder in 1985.

Survivors include one son-in-law, Dennis Corder and wife Barbara of McKinney; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Daughters of the Nile, 5101 Henry S. Grace Frwy., Wichita Falls, Texas 76302, or a charity of your choice.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 7-8 p.m.
