The annual Clay County 4-H Horse Show was held Saturday, May 12, at the Red River Cow Palace in Dean. Fourteen 4-H members competed in 14 events including cutting, working cow horse, team penning, breakaway roping, mares, geldings, junior showmanship, senior showmanship, western pleasure, western horsemanship, reining, stock horse trail, pole bending and barrel racing. The judge was Don Bohannon of Iowa Park and Jack Gilmore served as ring steward.  Cattle were supplied by Brad Scott of Waurika, Okla.

Prizes for the show included buckles for all first place winners, halters for second place winners and saddle blankets for third place winners. Personalized jackets were awarded to the overall high-point boy, Skee Burkes, and the high-point girls who tied, Mikayla Graham and Josey Cleveland.
