Richardson to play college basketball at SCU


SCU coach Becky Mitchell, Lady Falcon coach Justin Wood and Emmalee Clarihew look on as Erika Richardson signs her letter of intent.

Midway senior Erika Richardson has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Okla.

Richardson earned First Team All-District honors in 17-A. In her senior year, she was named the Lady Falcons’ Basketball MVP and Offensive MVP. She led the team in assists, three-point percentage and in free throw percentage.

Erika is the daughter of the late Tammie Richardson and the granddaughter of Emmalee Clarihew of Shannon.
