Pleas accepted, supervision revoked


The 97th District Court accepted two plea agreements and issued a judgment revoking community supervision Monday, May 21.

William Davis Terrell – Burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, for a Dec. 11, 2001 offense. Terrell was sentenced to 10 years probation on Oct. 21, 2002, and will to serve five years in prison. Terrell violated probation by failing to report with probation officers and make monthly payments. He is credited with 179 days.

Bobby Gene Franklin – Possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, in an amount greater than 4 grams and less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony, for a Sept. 11, 2011 offense. Franklin was sentenced to five years in prison.

Reginald Darron Newman, Jr. – Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony, for a Feb. 1, 2012 offense. Newman was sentenced to two years in prison, credited with 111 days served.
