Gary D. Moore, Sr., of Henrietta


Gary D. Moore Sr., 54, of Henrietta, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Waurika, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, May 14, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, with Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Moore was born on April 16, 1958 in Wichita Falls to Roger G. and Margie Sue (Harbuck) Swindle. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Moore married Tammy Vilardi on Dec. 14, 1978 in Georgia. He was a driller in the oil field business. He loved to hunt, fish and camp and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roger G. Swindle.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Moore of Henrietta; his mother, Sue Hornbaker and husband Ray of Wichita Falls; a grandmother, Laverne Melton of Wichita Falls; one brother, Chris Swindle of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Emily Moore of Henrietta, and Bridgette Moore of Loves Park, Ill.; one son, Gary Moore Jr. and wife Renee of Vilonia, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744. In memo please add “IF-NFP” to address the neighborhood Fishing Program and also add (In memory of Gary Moore).
