Booher finishes sixth in state long jump competition


Henrietta’s Kolten Booher took sixth place in long jump at the 2A state track and field meet Friday.

Booher finished the event with a distance of 21 feet, 2.5 inches. The Bearcat athlete qualified for the state meet after taking first place in the Region II Meet in Stephenville April 26. Booher’s regional performance, reaching 22-7, was a personal best.

The long jump competition began at 9 a.m. Friday, one of the first events at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. The state meet continues through Saturday.
