Plenty of people to appreciate

By Ashley Crownover

The week of May 6-12 is Nurses’ Week, Hospital Week and Teacher Appreciation Week.  Henrietta Care Center is grateful for all of our wonderful nurses in addition to our spectacular hospital. We are also very thankful for all of the present teachers as well as our residents who are retired teachers. Teachers, nurses, and hospitals all make our world a better place. Thank you all.

May 13-19 is National Nursing Home Week. We have a very eventful week planned, and we cannot wait to begin our celebrations. This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Journey”, and we look forward to our daily activities. National Nursing Home Week is always a wonderful week at Henrietta Care Center. Please check our Facebook page for a detailed calendar of events.

The residents and staff at Henrietta Care Center would like to welcome Lowell Lynn to our facility. We hope you enjoy your stay with us, and we look forward to you becoming part of our family. Friends and family, remember you are welcome to stop by at anytime to visit.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jane McRay as she will be out for medical procedures the next two weeks. We are praying that God will comfort you and watch you during this time.

We would like to thank Kathy Steele for donating jewelry for use in our Country Store. We appreciate having different items available. Our residents’ wish list for the store includes personal items, body sprays, decorative pillows, room clocks, radios, DVDs, CDs, and costume jewelry as well as anything else you think a resident might enjoy. Thank you very much for your support.

Thank you to Mrs. Wetzel for donating crocheted throws to Henrietta Care Center. The residents absolutely love them. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated.

Church services for May are set for 2 p.m. each Sunday. Family and friends are welcome to stop by and enjoy the worship and socialization with our area churches. St.  Mary’s Catholic Church will be here on the 6th followed by Joy Baptist on the 13th, Petrolia Baptist on the 20th, and Byers First United Methodist on the 27th. Also, the Church of God is here every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. to lead Sunday school. If you can, please come by and join this awesome group. They love to sing and we love to sing along. We are truly blessed by all of our churches, and we know you will be too if you come by and participate in our church services.

Have a wonderful week.
