Senior horse team second in district to qualify for State Roundup


Clay County 4-H members competing in the Rolling Plains District 4-H Horse Judging were (front) Jacob Lang, Ethan Franke, Daniel Wimberley, Kalico Burkes, (back) Taylor Watson, Josey Cleveland, Katlyn Lang, Mikayla Graham, Nicci Moore, Skee Burkes, Cassie Pickett and Stefanie Wolf.

Clay County 4-Hers competed at the Rolling Plains District 4-H Horse Judging on Tuesday, April 10.

The senior team of Taylor Watson, Cassie Pickett, Stefanie Wolf and Skee Burkes placed second to qualify for State 4-H Roundup which will be held Wednesday, June 13 in Lubbock.

Katlyn Lang was second high individual and placed fourth in reasons in the junior division.

The junior team of Katlyn Lang, Kalico Burkes and Jacob Lang placed fourth.

Skee Burkes was fifth high individual in the senior division.
