The Henrietta High School Winterguard placed fifth in the purple division and eighth overall in Scholastic AAA competition Friday in Forney.

The Henrietta High School Winterguard finished in fifth place in the purple division at the Scholastic AAA Championships on Friday, March 30 at Forney High School.

The guard would have tied for fourth place, however, they received a one-tenth point penalty for a front line violation. Henrietta also received second place from the movement judge and third and fourth places from the general effect judges.   When combining both divisions, the guard placed eighth overall out of 27 guards.

“We are extremely proud of all the work the guard has done this season, and would like to thank all of our administration, teachers, parents, directors and Al our bus driver,” said Kenneth Gilbreath, Henrietta High School band director.
