Booher paces Bearcat track team with three gold medals


Kolten Booher earned three gold medals in the Boyd High School track meet Saturday, helping Henrietta to a fourth place finish in the team standings.

Booher took first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.24 seconds; first in triple jump with 42 feet, 5 ½ inches; and first in the long jump with 21-3 ½.

Timmy Duke earned a gold, silver and bronze medal for the Bearcats. Duke finished first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.10. He took second in 300 hurdles with 41-73, and tied for third in high jump with 5-8. Duke also competed in triple jump, finishing sixth with a distance of 37-11.

C.D. Crumpton followed Booher in the 100 with a second place finish on a time of 11.38. Crumpton took third in the 200 with 23.73.

Chase Hawkins placed fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:08.

Henrietta finished third in the 400-meter relay with a time of 45.04, and sixth in the 1,600 relay with 3:39.

In the team standings, Henrietta finished behind Godley, Paradise and Boyd.
