Kid with top bid at Full Strut Banquet featured on hunting show

The 2011 Full Strut Banquet saw a large turnout. Travis Swenson was one of several hunters to win celebrity hunts in the live auction.

Travis Swenson, a youth hunter from Henrietta, will appear on an episode of the hunting show Ranch Hand Horizons on Monday, April 2, at 4 p.m., all because he attended last year’s Full Strut Banquet.

Ranch Hand Horizons is featured on the Sportsman Channel.

Swenson won the hunting trip as the high bidder in the celebrity hunt auction.

The annual Full Strut Banquet also offers a silent auction featuring a variety of hunting gear, home décor, professional sporting tickets, jewelry and more.

The Full Strut banquet wraps up Turkey Fest with a steak dinner and awards for largest turkey harvested, longest beard and longest spur. The Battle of the Beards winner and chili cook-off winners also receive awards during the event.

Tickets are $50 per person, and tables, seating 10, can be reserved for $500.

Tickets to the 2012 Full Strut Banquet, set for 6 p.m. April 21, are on sale now at the Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce office, by calling (940) 538-5261, or order tickets online at hccchamber.org.
