Heavy fog cloaked Hapgood Park Saturday morning, March 31, as the Kiwanis Club of Henrietta kicked off the 2012 Little League baseball season with its annual opening day ceremony.

Flags waved in the breeze along the fences as each t-ball, coach-pitch, softball and baseball team lined up on the base path as they were introduced. Introductions were followed by an invocation and singing of The Star Spangled Banner.

Matt Franklin, coach of the Henrietta High School softball team, threw the honorary first pitch. Games began 30 minutes after the ceremony, while players were treated to hotdogs.
