Dean man in serious condition after Hwy. 79 wreck

A Dean man is in serious condition after he was ejected from a vehicle Wednesday evening on Hwy. 79.

Cecil McAda, 82, was pulling out of a private drive onto Hwy. 79 near Dean, when his late model Chevrolet Suburban was struck by a northbound 2-ton truck registered to M&R Services of Wichita Falls, and driven by Michael Fincannon, 43, of Burkburnett.

According to DPS accident investigators, Fincannon swerved to avoid McAda as the Dean man crossed the northbound lane. The front of McAda’s vehicle struck the front passenger’s side of the truck.

McAda was not wearing a seatbelt. Fincannon was not injured in the accident.
