Claudie Ray Humphrey of Henrietta


Claudie Ray Humphrey, 74, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 in Henrietta.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 28 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Humphrey was born on March 25, 1938 in Clebit, Okla., to Delbert and Eunice (Grice) Humphrey. He married Janie Adams May 12, 1958 in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a carpenter.

He is preceded in death by one son, Michael Lynn Humphrey, and two brothers, Jerry Lynn Humphrey and Glen Dale Humphrey.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Humphrey of Henrietta; two sons Jerry Humphrey and wife Cindy of Henrietta, and David Humphrey and wife Melanie of Austin; one daughter, Sherry Blevins of Wichita Falls; one sister, Carol Rushing of Wichita Falls; one brother, Gene Humphrey of Wichita Falls; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, 215 W. Gilbert, Henrietta, Texas 76365.
