Melvin Lee Riddle, 76, of Burkburnett, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at the Light House Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Bobby Scott, officiating. Burial will be at the Charlie Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
Mr. Riddle was born Feb. 16, 1936 in McAlester, Okla., to George and Minnie (Graham) Riddle. He was an avid fisherman and played guitar. He also was a collector of knives and a roofer by trade.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Abbie Louise Riddle of Burkburnett; three sons, Allen Dale Riddle and wife Karen of Dean, Gary Lee Riddle and wife Dawn of Odessa, and Douglas Wayne Riddle of Burkburnett; a daughter, Donna Marie Gonzales and husband Pete of Burkburnett; two sisters, Edna Dee Ray and her husband Edward of Whitney, and Helen Mae Gann and her husband David of Graham; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
