Henrietta fought back from a six-run deficit to beat City View by one Wednesday night, 7-6.
The Mustangs put four runs on the scoreboard in top of the first inning, and added two runs in the second.
Henrietta scored one in the bottom of the second, and came back with a three-run third, one run in the fifth and two runs in the seventh inning for the win.
Joe Dell Williams was responsible for three of Henrietta’s 10 hits, including a double, for two RBI’s. Korben Allen also finished with two RBI’s. Conner Fletcher had two hits for an RBI and Nick Powell batted in one run. Zach Byers stole one base.
City view finished with five RBI’s and a double. The Mustangs committed two errors to Henrietta’s four.
Ben Fletcher earned the win on the mound for the Bearcats, working seven innings for 13 strikeouts. Fletcher faced 26 batters, throwing 63 strikes on 92 pitches. Philip Davis opened for the Bearcats, pitching through the first inning.
Wednesday’s game was scheduled for Tuesday, but delayed for rain. Saturday, the Bearcats travel to Holliday. The first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Henrietta hosts Alvord at 6 p.m.
