Willie Frank Obermier of Lafayette, La.


Willie Frank Obermier, 76, of Lafayette, La., died March 15, in Lafayette, La.

Memorial graveside services will be held at the Riverland Cemetery in Clay County at noon Saturday, March 24, with B.D. Wynn officiating.

Mr. Obermier was born Feb. 7, 1936 in Henrietta to William F. and Lora Gertrude (Roy) Obermier. He married Laura Anita Gill in 1956, and Barbara “Bobbie” in Lafayette in 1973. They resided in Lafayette for 39 years. He was the owner of Power Tong Rental and Service in Lafayette, La.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Anita Gill; and a son, Derrell Scot Obermier.

Survivors include wife, Bobbi; a son, Willie Frank “Butch” and wife Terry Obermier of Wichita Falls; step daughters Paula Antoine, Monique Billeaud, Maria Dyer, all of the Lafayette, La., area; one step son, Joe Delhomme, of the Lafayette area; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
