Booher earns gold in long jump, triple jump at Alvord meet


Kolten Booher dominated events in the Alvord Track Meet Thursday, March 17, claiming two gold medals and a bronze.

Booher took first place in long jump with 20 feet, 9.25 inches, and in triple jump with 41-71/2. He was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.53 seconds.

Timmy Duke also earned a gold medal for Henrietta in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.3. Duke placed third in the 110 hurdles with 16.45 and fifth in high jump, clearing 5-10.

Parker West finished fourth in shot put with 44-1/4, and sixth in discus with 118-8.

Henrietta’s 1600 relay team, comprised of Duke, Booher, Chase Hawkins and Jameson Dowell, placed fifth with a time of 3:42.4.
