Alvin E. Kafer of Wichita Falls


Alvin E. Kafer, 91 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 17 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, with Rev. Cheryl Murray, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist church in Wichita Falls, officiating. Burial will be in the Petrolia Cemetery in Petrolia under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Kafer was born on Sept.12, 1920 in Hurnville to John and Anna (Jenkie) Kafer. He married Ilene (Bray) on Oct. 31, 1948 in Wichita Falls. Mr. Kafer was the owner and operator of Kafer Drywall and Services until his retirement, and a member of the Wesley United Methodist church in Wichita Falls.

Mr. Kafer was preceded in death by one brother, Oscar Kafer.

Survivors include his wife Ilene Kafer of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Pam Pitts and husband John of Wichita Falls; and one grandson.
