Henrietta Care Center extends our deepest sympathies to the families of Mr. Leonard Raney and Ms. Grace Estridge. We are sorry for your losses, and we are praying for all of you during this misfortunate time in your lives. We will miss Mr. Raney and Ms. Estridge greatly, and we are very thankful that we were given the opportunity to get to know them and be a part of their lives.

We have an eventful week planned at Henrietta Care Center. Friday, March 16, we are having a St. Patrick’s Day party at 3 p.m. As always, you are more than welcome to join us. The residents and staff look forward to celebrating with you.

HCC residents and staff are eager to start work on our garden very soon. The weather is warming up, and we are very thankful for the recent rain. We will spend the next few months planting and harvesting various vegetables. This is always an exciting time for the residents. It is such a joy to watch seeds that we plant come to life and grow into beautiful vegetables. We cannot wait to get started and watch our garden progress. Anyone who enjoys being outside and would like to participate in our gardening endeavors is more than welcome to join us.

If you want a detailed calendar listing the other activities we have planned, you can find it on our Facebook page. If you do not have Facebook or want a printed copy, you can stop by, and we will gladly give you a copy of our activity calendar.

Did you know that we have a Country Store in our facility every other Wednesday? This is a fun activity to get the residents involved and give everyone a chance to do a little shopping of their own. The store has a wide variety of items just like you would purchase at an old general store. The residents can also ask for particular items that they would like to purchase at the store, and we will make sure the requested items are available for purchase. All items in the store are purchased with Bingo Bucks which are earned during our very popular Bingo games. The residents play Bingo and have the Country Store on alternating Wednesdays. They also play Bingo every Tuesday and Friday. This gives the residents extra chances to make Bingo Bucks to spend on whatever items they wish. It works out great and is a great attribute and popular activity at Henrietta Care Center. We take pride in our resident-involvement and the independence. HCC is truly a wonderful place to live and work.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our potluck lunch on Friday the 9th. The food was delicious, and the residents; staff; and visitors really enjoyed themselves. Door prizes were given, and the winners were thrilled to receive a special gift. We hope to see you again at our potluck meal in April.

We would also like to thank those of you who brought Barbies on Friday. Our celebration of Barbie Day would not be successful without you. Congratulations to our winners. Our Barbie display was beautiful and enjoyed by all.

Have a great week!
